| 1/2 pound(s) ground beef |
| 1/4 pound(s) ground veal |
| 1/4 pound(s) ground pork |
| 1 egg, slightly beaten |
| 3 tablespoon(s) chopped onion |
| 1/4 teaspoon(s) white pepper |
| 1/4 teaspoon(s) ground allspice |
| 2 tablespoon(s) butter |
| 2 tablespoon(s) flour |
| 1 beef bullion cube |
| 3/4 cup(s) boiling water |
| 1/2 cup(s) half and half |
| 1 tablespoon(s) snipped fresh dill or 2 tsp dried dillweed |
Swedish Meatballs Directions
- Put bread crumbs and 1/4 cup of the milk in a small bowl. Stir with a fork and let stand at room temperature for 5 minutes so that the bread can absorb the milk. Put ground beef, veal and pork in a large bowl. Add egg, onion, salt, pepper, allspice and soaked bread crumbs.
- Toss meat mixture gently with a fork until thoroughly combined. Shape into about 30 round meatballs.
