- 1/4 cup(s) cocoa
- 1 cup(s) water
- 1/4 teaspoon(s) salt
- 1/2 cup(s) buttermilk
- 1 teaspoon(s) vanilla
- 3 cup(s) powdered sugar
- 1/2 cup(s) oil
- 1 teaspoon(s) vanilla
- 1/2 cup(s) butter or margarine
- 2 cup(s) flour
- 2 eggs
- 1 cup(s) finely chopped nuts
- 1/2 cup(s) butter
- 1 teaspoon(s) baking soda
- 1/3 cup(s) whipping cream
- 2 cup(s) sugar
- 1 1/2 teaspoon(s) cinnamon
- 1/4 cup(s) cocoa
- 1 1/2 teaspoon(s) cinnamon
Cinnamon Chocolate Cake Directions
- In a mixing bowl, combine the first four ingredients.
- In a saucepan, combine water, oil, margarine or butter, and cocoa, bring to a boil over medium heat. Pour over dry ingredients, mix well.
- Add eggs, buttermilk, vanilla and baking soda, mix well.
- Pour into a greased and floured 15x10 baking pan. Bake at 350 for 15-20 minutes or until done.
- For frosting, combine 1/2 cup butter, cream, cocoa and cinnamon in a saucepan. Cook and stir over medium heat until butter is melted and mixture is heated through.
- Remove from heat, beat in sugar and vanilla until smooth. Stir in nuts. Carefully spread over hot cake then cool completely
