1 8-9 inch baked pastry shell or graham cracker crust
3 eggs, separated
1/2 lemon juice
14 ounce(s) can, sweetened condensed milk
1/4 cup(s) cream of tartar
1/3 cup(s) sugar

Creamy Lemon Meringue Pie Directions

  1. Preheat oven to 350
  2. In bowl beat egg yolks, stir in sweetened condensed milk, lemon juice and pour into prepared pastry shell.
  3. In another bowl, beat egg whites with cream of tartar until soft peaks form, gradually add sugar, beating until stiff but not dry.
  4. Spread meringue on top of pie, sealing carefully to edge of shell
  5. Bake 12 to 15 minutes or until meringue is golden brown.
  6. Cool, Chill before serving
