1/2 pound(s) butter
1/4 cup(s) water
1/2 cup(s) chopped almonds
1/2 teaspoon(s) vanilla

Toffee Directions

  1. Mix sugar, water, butter in heavy buttered saucepan. Bring to a boil, cook stirring constantly to 290 degrees
  2. Add nuts, bring up to 290 or hard crack again.
  3. Remove from heat, add vanilla.
  4. Pour on buttered foil lined plate or pan, When cooled break into irregular pieces and dip in chocolate, sprinkle with chopped nuts if desired
