| 1 cup(s) sugar |
| 1/2 pound(s) butter |
| 1/4 cup(s) water |
| 1/2 cup(s) chopped almonds |
| 1/2 teaspoon(s) vanilla |
Toffee Directions
- Mix sugar, water, butter in heavy buttered saucepan. Bring to a boil, cook stirring constantly to 290 degrees
- Add nuts, bring up to 290 or hard crack again.
- Remove from heat, add vanilla.
- Pour on buttered foil lined plate or pan, When cooled break into irregular pieces and dip in chocolate, sprinkle with chopped nuts if desired
