1/3 cup(s) chopped onion
1/3 cup(s) chopped green pepper
1/3 cup(s) chopped red pepper
3 tablespoon(s) parsley
3 cloves garlic, minced
1 1/4 teaspoon(s) chili powder
1 1/4 teaspoon(s) sage
1 1/4 teaspoon(s) salt
1 teaspoon(s) pepper
3/4 cup(s) milk
2 eggs, beaten
1/4 cup(s) worcestershire sauce
2/3 cup(s) dry bread crumbs
4 bacon strips
1/4 cup(s) canned tomatoes, chopped
1/4 cup(s) catsup
2 tablespoon(s) brown sugar
1 teaspoon(s) salt
1 teaspoon(s) dry mustard
1/2 teaspoon(s) pepper

Grandma's best meatloaf Directions

  1. In a large bowl, combine the first 10 ingredients.
  2. combine the milk, eggs and worcestershire sauce, mix into the beef mixture. Add bread crumbs.
  3. Grease a large sheet of foil. place bacon on foil. Mold meat mixture into a loaf and place over bacon. Seal foil tightly around loaf. Refridgerate for 2 hours or overnight.
  4. Place wrapped loaf on a baking sheet. Bake at 350 for 1 hour. Open foil, drain juices.
  5. Combine all the rest of the ingredients and spoon over loaf. Bake, uncovered for 30 minutes
