| 1 tablespoon(s) sugar |
| 3 teaspoon(s) butter |
| 1/2 cup(s) sugar |
| 1 1/4 cup(s) warm milk |
| 1 egg |
| 4 1/2 cup(s) flour |
| 1 teaspoon(s) nutmeg |
Doughnuts - Pearl Robison Directions
- Dissolve yeast and 1 tbl sugar in warm milk. Add a 1/2 cup flour and beat well. Cover and let rist about 1 hour or until bubbles burst on the top.
- Cream butter and 1/2 cup sugar. Add egg and nutmeg. Add this mixture to yeast mixture. Add salt and remainder of flour to make a soft dough. Knead a few minutes then place in a well greased bowl. Cover and let rise another hour.
- When light and doubled, turn our on floured board and roll 1/2 inch thick. Cut with small doughnut cutter. Place on floured
