1 lg can pumpkin |
1 1/3 cup(s) packed brown sugar |
2 teaspoon(s) cinnamon |
1 teaspoon(s) ground ginger |
2 teaspoon(s) salt |
4 eggs, beaten |
1 1/3 cup(s) evaporated milk - then add enough regular mild to make 4 cups total |
1/2 teaspoon(s) ground allspice |
1 teaspoon(s) ground nutmeg |
Pumpkin Pie - Grandma Lewis Directions
- You can make 3 pie crusts by mixing 1 1/2 cup shortening, 3 cups flour and 1/2 cup cold water and about 1 tsp of salt. Mix well and refrigerate at least 30 minutes, then roll out and fit them into your 9 inch pie plates
- Mix all pie ingredients til smooth and creamy then fill pie shells. You can wrap edges of pie crusts with foil, so that they will not overcook while the pie bakes.
- Bake for at least 50 minutes, or closer to 60 or until a toothpick or knife inserted comes out clean. Cool
