3 pound(s) pork spareribs, cut into sections
2/3 cup(s) brown sugar
2 tablespoon(s) corn starch
2 teaspoon(s) dry mustard
2/3 cup(s) vinegar
1 cup(s) crushed pineapple
1/2 cup(s) catsup
1/2 cup(s) water
1/4 cup(s) chopped onion
2 tablespoon(s) soy sauce

Sweet and Sour Spareribs - Grandma Hardy Directions

  1. Spread ribs, meaty side up, in a single layer in a large shollow pan. Brown in 425 degree oven for 20-30 minutes, drain off fat.
  2. Combine all remaining ingredients, in a saucepan, stir til smooth. Cook over medium heat until thick and glossy, stirring constantly.
  3. Sprinkle salt and pepper over browned ribs, spoon half of sauce over meat.
  4. Reduce heat to 350 and bake for 45 minutes. Turn ribs, cover with rest of sauce and bake for 30 minutes more or until done
