1 gallon, sliced cucumbers |
4 large onions, sliced |
3 cup(s) sugar |
4 green peppers, sliced |
1 can pimentos |
2 tablespoon(s) salt |
2 cup(s) vinegar |
3 teaspoon(s) celery seed |
2 teaspoon(s) cloves |
2 teaspoon(s) tumeric |
Bread and Butter Pickles Directions
- Sprinkle salt over cucumbers, let stand 2 hours, then drain.
- Add onions, peppers, sugar and vinegar. Cook until tender.
- Add spices and flour if desired to thicken.
- Pour into prepared jars and seal like you would jam
