Pie Crust

This is a simple buttery pie crust. For Emma's wedding we served mini pies and made them in a pie maker. This pie crust worked very well and we got 12 pie's out of each recipe.

2 1/2 cup(s) flour
1 teaspoon(s) salt
1 teaspoon(s) sugar
1 cup(s) butter, cold
3/4 cup(s) ice water

Pie Crust Directions

  1. mix flour, salt, and sugar, add cold butter cut into cubes and mix til it looks like small peas. Then add up to 3/4 cup ice cold water a little at a time just til the dough holds together.
  2. Push the dough into a disc shape, wrap firmly in plastic wrap and refrigerate.
  3. We used a food processor, so we put in all the dry ingredients, added the butter and pulsed a couple times, then drizzled in the water til the dough came together. It rarely used the entire amount.
  4. This dough should be refrigerated
