These are good on their own, but even better if you dunk 1/2 of each one in melted chocolate!

3/4 pound(s) butter, real
1 cup(s) sugar
1 teaspoon(s) vanilla
3 1/2 cup(s) flour
1/4 teaspoon(s) salt

Shortbread Cookies Directions

  1. Cream butter and sugar, add vanilla
  2. Add flour and salt, mix well but do not over mix
  3. Wrap in plastic wrap and chill for a couple hours to overnight
  4. Roll 1/2 inch thick, cut into whatever shape you want
  5. Bake 2-25 min, just until the edges are beginning to brown.
  6. Cool completely
