2 tablespoon(s) butter
1 head green cabbage
2 tablespoon(s) flour
1 cup(s) milk
15 ounce(s) jar processed cheese sauce, such as cheez wiz
1 cup(s) grated pepper jack cheese
1 jalapeno pepper, seeded and chopped, optional

Scalloped Cabbage Directions

  1. Preheat oven to 350, grease 9x9 baking dish
  2. Bring a medium pot of salted water to a boil. slice the cabbage into 4 to 6 wedges. Remove the hardest part of the core but leave the wedges connected
  3. Place wedges into boiling water for 1 to 2 min, drain very well then arrange in baking dish
  4. In skillet, melt butter, whisk in flour and cook for one minute. Whisk in the milk, add salt and pepper to taste, cook until it begins to thicken.
  5. Turn off heat, add pepper jack and processed cheese, stir
