2 pound(s) ground beef
1 large onion, chopped
3 garlic cloves, minced
2 15oz cans, tomato sauce, divided
1 teaspoon(s) dried thyme
1/2 teaspoon(s) dill weed
1/2 teaspoon(s) sage
1/4 teaspoon(s) salt
1/4 teaspoon(s) pepper
1/4 teaspoon(s) cayenne pepper
2 cup(s) cooked rice
4 bacon strips, cooked and crumbled
1 medium head cabbage, shredded
1 cup(s) mozzarella cheese, shredded

Cabbage Roll Casserole Directions

  1. In a large skillet, cook the beef, onion and fatlic over medium heat until meat is no longer pink, drain.
  2. Stir in one can of tomato sauce and seasonings. Bring to a boil. Reduce heat, cover and simmer for 5 minutes.
  3. Stir in the rice and bacon, heat through. Rmove from heat.
  4. Layer a third of the cabbage ina greased 13x0 baking dish. Top with half of the meat mixture. Repeat layers, top with remaining cabbage. Pour remaining tomato sauce over top.
  5. Cover and bake at 375 for 45 minutes. Uncover
