1 cup(s) firmly packed light brown sugar
1 cup(s) sliced almonds, or nut of your choice
1/4 cup(s) flour
3 tablespoon(s) butter, melted
1 teaspoon(s) grated orange zest
1/2 cup(s) butter
1/2 cup(s) sugar
3 large eggs
1 teaspoon(s) grated orange zest
1/2 teaspoon(s) vanilla
2 cup(s) flour
1 teaspoon(s) baking powder
1 teaspoon(s) baking soda
2/3 cup(s) orange juice
1/2 cup(s) powdered sugar
2 1/2 teaspoon(s) orange juice

Almond Streusel Cake Directions

  1. Preheat the overn to 350. Grease a 9 or 10 inch tube pan
  2. Mix in a bowl, brown sugar, nuts, flour, add 1 tsp zest and 3 tbl melted butter. Set aside
  3. For cake: in a large bowl, use electric mixer on medium speed if you have one and beat together 1/2 cup butter, and sugar till fluffy. Add eggs, 1 at a time, beating well after each one. Beat in the other zest and vanilla
  4. Sift together in another bowl, flour, baking powder and soda. Reduce mixer to low speed and add flour mix and orange juice into
