3 pound(s) spareribs, cut in pieces |
2 tablespoon(s) corn starch |
2/3 cup(s) vinegar |
1/2 cup(s) catsup |
1/4 cup(s) chopped onion |
2/3 cup(s) brown sugar |
2 teaspoon(s) dry mustard |
1 cup(s) crushed pineapple |
1/2 cup(s) water |
2 tablespoon(s) soy sauce |
Sweet and Sour Spareribs Directions
- Spread ribs, meaty side up, in a single layer in a large shallow pan. Brown in 425 degree oven for 20-30 minutes, drain off fat.
- combine all remaining ingredients in a saucepan, stir til smooth. Cook over medium heat until thick and glossy, stirring constantly.
- Sprinkle salt and pepper over browned ribs, spoon half of the sauce over the ribs. Reduce oven heat to 350 and bake for 45 minutes more. Turn ribs, cover with rest of sauce and bake for 30 minutes more or until done
