Popped Wheat Treats Directions
- Boil whole wheat kernels until they are plum, tender and begin to split, adding more water if needed.
- Drain wheat and rinse. Remove excess water by rolling wheat on a cloth or paper towel.
- In a heavy kettle or pot heat vegetable oil to 350. Place wheat in a wire basket or strainer and deep fry in hot oil for about 1 1/2 minutes or until popping ceases. Drain on paper towel
