14 ounce(s) bag caramels |
5 ounce(s) can evaporated milk |
1 German chocolate cake mix |
1 cup(s) finely chopped nuts |
12 ounce(s) semi sweet chocolate chips |
1/2 cup(s) butter, melted |
Turtle Cake Squares Directions
- Melt caramels and 1/4 cup milk in heavy pan over low heat, stirring constantly. Set aside
- Combine melted butter, dry cake mix, nuts and remaining milk in large bowl. Press half of this mixture into greased 9x13 pan. Bake at 350 for 5 minutes
- Remove from oven and sprinkle with chocolate chips. Spread caramel mixture over chocolate chips. Press remaining cake mixture over caramel, Bake 15-18 minutes more
- Cool and cut into squares
