1 pound(s) ground beef |
1/2 cup(s) chopped onion |
1 teaspoon(s) salt |
10 whole green chilis, canned |
2 cup(s) shredded cheddar cheese |
4 eggs, beaten |
1 1/2 cup(s) milk |
1/4 teaspoon(s) pepper |
1/4 cup(s) flour |
2 cloves garlic, minced |
Chilie Rellenos Bake - Grandma Hardy Directions
- In a large skillet, brown beef and onion adding garlic when the beef is almost done so it wont burn. Drain the fat. Add salt and pepper.
- Line the bottom of a 9x13 with half the chilis, top with half the cheese and then add the meat mixture and set aside.
- Beat together eggs, milk, flour and 1/2 tsp salt til smooth, then pour over the chilis. Top with remaining cheese and bake at 350 for 40-45 minutes or until knife inserted in center comes out clean. Let stand 5 minutes before serving
