Baked Apples with Crisp Topping

2 apples
1 teaspoon(s) lemon juice
1/4 cup(s) strawberry jam
2 tablespoon(s) flour
3 tablespoon(s) butter, cold and diced
1/2 cup(s) oats, uncooked
3 tablespoon(s) brown sugar
1/4 teaspoon(s) ground cinnamon

Baked Apples with Crisp Topping Directions

  1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees
  2. cut each apple in half along its equator. Using a melon baller, cut out each side of the core, creating a rounded hole. Rub exposed apple flesh with lemon jiuce. Place 1 tbl of jam into each hole.
  3. For the topping, in a small bowl mix together flour, butter, brown sugar, oats, cinnamon and a pinch of salt. Press this mixture on the top of each apple, covering the jam.
  4. Place in a baking dish filled with about 1/4 inch of water. Bake until top is golden brown and apple
