| 2 teaspoon(s) cinnamon |
| 1/4 teaspoon(s) nutmeg |
| 1 teaspoon(s) salt |
| 10 cup(s) water |
| 1 tablespoon(s) lemon juice |
| 5 drops of yellow food coloring |
Apple Pie Filling - Sheila's Directions
- Combine everything but apples, lemon juice and food coloring. Cook stirring constantly until thick. Remove from heat.
- Pour 2 cups of into quart bottles.
- Core, peel and slice apples using granny smith or other tart apples.
- Add sliced apples to within 1/2 inch of bottle top
- Process 20 minutes
- Makes approx 6 quarts.
