1 cup(s) corn starch
2 teaspoon(s) cinnamon
1/4 teaspoon(s) nutmeg
1 teaspoon(s) salt
10 cup(s) water
1 tablespoon(s) lemon juice
5 drops of yellow food coloring

Apple Pie Filling - Sheila's Directions

  1. Combine everything but apples, lemon juice and food coloring. Cook stirring constantly until thick. Remove from heat.
  2. Pour 2 cups of into quart bottles.
  3. Core, peel and slice apples using granny smith or other tart apples.
  4. Add sliced apples to within 1/2 inch of bottle top
  5. Process 20 minutes
  6. Makes approx 6 quarts.
